Our Commitment to the Canine Community
In just the past 5 years Haute Dawgs has donated over $20,000.00 to canine related organizations.
In 2007, the Board decided to make a commitment to provide 30% of the proceeds from any given trial to go to a dog-related charity. The only exception to this is the “Toys for Tots” donation and toy drive every December at the NADAC trial.
Haute Dawgs has regularly supported local shelters, with annual donations to the Placer County, Yolo County and Sacramento SPCA’s and the Sacramento County shelter. In 2011-2012 we have donated over $4,000 to these organizations.
In 2011-12 Haute Dawgs supported canine cancer research by donating $1,425 to the Morris Animal Foundation and $1,000 to the UC Davis Center for Companion Animal Health – Cancer Studies. As a club we regularly participate in and support the Morris Foundation K9 Cancer Walk.
We have sponsored pet food drives and have donated to the Sacramento Pet Food Bank (TEAM) at our trials.
Other organizations Haute Dawgs supports include:
- Foothills K9 Association
- Sacramento Police Canine Association
- Angels Rescuing Kritters
